Richard has worked in Human Resource management over a 30 year career in both the UK and France.
His sector experience includes retailing, manufacturing/distribution, insurance, advertising/publishing, and utilities/public services. He has experienced many major change programmes including participating in hostile takeovers; mergers; being sold by a parent company as well as experiencing both listing and de-listing on the UK and US stock markets.
Since 2004, Richard’s principal activity has been individual coaching and selected HR consulting assignments predominantly in the UK, France and Belgium.
Coaching clients include senior level corporate executives with global responsibilities, middle management, high-potential talent at first managerial appointment, functional experts and expatriates.
Richard is a visiting lecturer at Newcastle University Business School; the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers in Paris; EDHEC Business School in Lille; GGSB in Grenoble and ANEPE in Moscow, where he leads teaching modules on International Human Resource management, Leadership and Leading Change on a variety of Masters level degree programmes.
Richard is a former Director and Trustee of People in Aid, a London based NGO working globally to improve the practice of human resource management in the aid and development sector.
