Our journey as a business starts in a factory in Crewe during the late 1990s.
After a career that had taken him from the police force to United Utilities via National Grid, Paul Victor (our future Managing Director) was appointed Director of Change Management at Rolls Royce Bentley.
Whilst effective change management undoubtedly needs structure and logic, the essence of sustainable change lies in people.
As well as learning some incredibly enduring lessons on how to (and not to) design and implement complex change programmes, he also embarked on a PhD in Organisational Change that would go on to shape many of the principles that define our business today.
It was during the research, writing (and subsequent re-writing) of his doctoral thesis that Paul had his eureka moment. Whilst effective change management undoubtedly needs structure and logic, the essence of sustainable change lies in people – understanding and managing their beliefs, their emotions, their capabilities and insecurities will ultimately define how successful you are.
We work right across the UK and since 2002 we’ve visited 23 countries, supporting thousands of leaders.
Paul established Vmax Consulting in 2002 and our team has grown significantly but that eureka moment has made its mark on everything we do today – structured, managed change with people at its core.
Our team now comprises project managers, HR specialists, executive coaches, innovation experts, psychometric assessment practitioners and a host of educators, facilitators and trainers.
We’re based in the North West of England – Warrington to be precise – but our team and our work is spread far and wide. We work right across the UK and since 2002 we’ve visited 23 countries, supporting thousands of leaders.
One other thing came from the automotive industry – our name. Vmax means ‘maximum velocity’ and we’ve taken to that to heart as well. We work hard and we work fast!
