The Executive Management Team at Shred-it wanted support to develop the leaders of the future through a High Potential development programme.
They wanted a programme that was highly relevant to their business whilst at the same time introduced participants to examples of best practice from other businesses and industries.
How we helped
The Shred-it EMEAA Hipo programme was delivered over 2 years, with 6 learning modules at approximately 4 month intervals.
Each module focused on a key aspect of leading at Shred-it, and combined best practice thinking, insight from current Shred-it leaders and a review of project progress.
To ensure engagement was maintained between the modules, we used an online learning portal to facilitate communication between participants, programme faculty and business stakeholders. We also facilitated regular action learning and group coaching sessions.
Participants undertook 2 business-value-generating projects throughout the programme both individually and in teams. These projects focused on strategic business goals, workplace improvement and embedding of learning.
Feedback for the programme has been highly positive from both participants and business sponsors. Two programme participants even achieved promotions before the programme had completed!
